Anyone using "Juice Defender"?

If so, which version, and how has it increased battery life? I just installed the free version...phone was capable of getting about 24 hours of "my normal use". However I was missing the "Battery Manager" settings from my Moto Blured Defy. I wanted something that could schedule the data to turn off every 15 minutes or so, or whenever idle (activate on screen wake, schedule, etc), as it seems like the G2x's data is always connected.

If I can get another 12 hours out of it, I'll be happy. FWIW, as a comparison, my Defy was good for a solid 24 hours, with the data disconnecting every 15 minutes, waking to poll email or on screen wake. It was updated to Froyo and now lasts 48 hours.

Im using it and have sceen a significant increase battery life when its just idling 24-26 hours. it usually wil go all day now and still have 40 percent or so left.

Roger that!

I'm seeing similar results with my newly updated to 2.2 Moto Defy (2-3 days, literally 48-72 hours). I can't really say about my G2x, as I get weak signal at work, and at my dad's house this weekend, so drain rates were much higher than at my house.

But alas, I will be returning it today, simply because of the reception. Any time I drop down to 2 bars, its actually borderline "no service", given the actual signal strength (-107dBm).

FWIW, I was using the free version of Juice Defender, and it did seem to increase idle time life. I would guess that I could go ~24hours without it, and 24-36 with it (free version, maybe longer with paid as it offers a few more adjustment possibilities). But again, I was rarely in an area where the poor signal, and increased battery drain, would offer a consistent test. However Juice Defender offers similar battery management (turn off data after pre-determined amount of minutes), albeit to a much more granular level, which is unavailable in the stock OS. Had I kept it, I would definitely go with the paid version of JD.
