Root Anyone using the new Android Facebook 1.5 on a 2.2 ROM?

Hey all,

Yesterday introduced the release of the Official Android Facebook app upgrade to v. 1.5. This version introduced chat, and PUSH notifications.

However, according to the development team, the push notifications only work with Android 2.2.

Is there anyone out there using a 2.2 ROM on their Epic that can confirm whether or not the FB 1.5 notifications work properly?

Honestly, FB push is the biggest thing that I miss...this will be a welcome upgrade....

I am not sure what you mean by push. I have the new facebook on 2.2 and I have noticed the chat feature, but I don't really chat much on FB.

yeah it works, I have 2.2 on my Epic and just updated to the new Facebook app today and i received a push notification when i had a Facebook chat message, haven't had a chance to test if there is a Facebook mail message notification though

Thank you. I didn't know there was a new FB app until I saw this thread. I just installed it and it is quite an improvement.

I also had a push notification when someone commented on a post. I like that so much better than if I were to allow email or text notifications. I had that setup before and it was insane.

That, I'm not gettin' I get the FR & messages only, but no comment post @all...
