BBM is older than Whatsapp but it has finally come to android. I had a Blackberry that had BBM on it many many moons ago.

Im using it. I like it.

I've never used it but I feel like its only worth it if you're the only one in your family , for instance, that doesn't use BBM or if they're over seas. But most people nowadays have unlimited everything so I don't find it necessary to have one.
