anyone verified tethering works?

if you have flashed your rom or rooted, did you get tethering to work?

if you have NOT flashed rom but you rooted, did you get tethering to work?

if you flashed but did NOT root, did you get tethering to work?

if you did NOT flash and did NOT root, did you get tethering to work?

would like to install pdanet solution to tethering which states it works without rooting.

Thanks. I know I've read that PdaNet and Easy Tether can be downloaded w/o the ATT sim over wifi but never had anyone actually confirm that they did it. So which is better and why, PdaNet or Easy Tether?

I just turned Airplane mode on and then turned wifi on and I was able to download it. No need to remove your SIM card.
