Help Anyone with this Swype problem

Just wondering if anyone is having the same problem I'm having. Just downloaded Swype thru the Beta. Installed and I'm getting this message

"The Swype package you installed is configured for another device and will operate with a limited functionality. Please contact Swype about this issue."

I reinstalled it three times and each time I reboted

The app seems to be installed and I can switch to the Swype input but does not work at all. It shows the trail when I move thru the letters but nothing showes in the text box.

Any suggestions before I contact Swype.

Thanks, but I did that three times. I even deleted the installer from the SD card just to make sure it wasn't the problem.

First, I would bookmark the Swype FAQ page, there they do a very good job of covering instances like this. It has bailed me out many times.

What you want to do is remove all traces of Swype (including the installer) from your phone, reboot and then open the email again and start over, following the instructions again.

Good Luck and let us know if it works this time.

Ok, got it working. Went to the Swype forum for more info.

What I did was clear data and uninstall both the Swype installer and the app. Then I deleted files from SD card and rebooted.

Reinstalled the installer then ran it to install app.

Still didn't work.

Ran installer again. Seems like it didn't do the licensing the first time around so the installer licensed Swype.

Now it works.

Hope this helps anyone who is going thru what happened with my install.

Thanks everyone who helped.

Check swype forum it it's a known issue. Need to log into online account and reset phone association. Only do it once because that is all that is allowed for their beta. Should work after that...
