My last root process was simple as they posted all files and simple instructions as needed. piece of cake :)

Seems no one is werkin on this phone anymore cuz it sure is quiet in here...I wish I could afford to buy a new phone every few days like sum of these people do.

Codegerm is the only help i've seen here in awhile and I thank you for stickin around and all your info and help.

seeking same, just root. no custom stuff. or do we hold off till end of FEB for the JB update. that might be why its quiet.waiting for the JB since its likly the last update before Google rolls out a new one(OS)

Ok first off learn to spell bro I only understood half of what you said and asked
Secondly theres many root efforts out there just go back to fl22 use the abuse root app and disable the google sevice frame works to disable the update
Code grem has mentioned this many many times before fl24 only patchs the root explot ive used it haven't noticed anything different at all. If you wait long enough im sure there will be a one click repack. Im on fl04 and the rom runs great and smooth other then my battery drainage of no signal (thxs for telling me codegrem) it should work perfectly for someone witn a better signal

You should be able to use the root guide in this forum and here is a link to the FL24 kernel with recovery

[KERNEL][SOURCE][ICS]Boost FL24 + Agat's tREC_v0.2.2

then continue with the instructions and flash superuser.

FL24 is mainly just a security update and no real changes. Not much work is being done with it other than recovery added in. I myself have turned off the phones update checking long ago and have since moved on to one of the Jelly Bean leaks.

This forum has its fast and slow periods. Yes, people are waiting for JB to drop, and more importantly the source to become available (that is what helps the Dev's). There are a lot of us out here that do help. I often pick up ideas and tips from others while reading through the forums. Also, if you run across something good for our phone such as a tip or app, consider posting about it. I am sure there are others that will like the info. :D

When you go to the Developers page to pick up that cool kernel with recovery etc, show them some love (click an ad or two, consider donating to them). They do put a lot of time and effort into the cool stuff they make fpr us.

First off you aint gotta be an ass. Bro? lol
Second I don't have time to read every post on this site, although I do try to read as much as I can. Some people have a real job. Bro

Look up the Exynos Exploit. There was a user on xda that found a way to use this exploit in order to implement and install root access.

In my case, I installed and ran it while I was still on FI22; I also used an app on Google Play called Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. Made a backup of my root through that, then used its option to "temp. un-root" before installing the OTA update. After the phone restarted with the new build installed, it was just a matter of restoring root.

No problems for me since. :)

I too am waiting for JellyBean proper, but I don't feel as pressured to go with it, since I don't know of anything about that new build that would specifically help me.

I went to GA10 because it is silky smooth and has the Google-now thing, and I wanted to be on JB because I hate waiting lol

Doesnt work broh i tried it. Even though ive considered downgrading. I really don't want to take the extra time with that. heres what i did. Followed every step in the guide, downloaded Kies, Odin, AGAT, SU.
Done what i was told to do as the instrustions said and followed then and the Odin tool still comes up fail. Drivers are installed and such. i tried rebooted. no dice..
