yea i was shocked when i heard their release is incomplete, like who even does that, this is the first time i have had a phone and i havent rooted it within the first week of owning it, i still have a week left for my 30 day return policy i am thinking about getting an evo design.I'm pretty sure we need a fully functional source from ZTE. The source code they released is incomplete/broken. Until that happens we are basically stuck. The recovery listed above does not work. It says it makes a backup, but if you try to restore it does nothing. Smarter people than I have tried to build a recovery from the source they released (I have tried, too) without success.
So, until ZTE complies with the GPL or some genius reverse engineers something I would stick with stock everything (sucks!).
On a personal note, with the way things stand at the time of this post, I would NOT recommend buying the ZTE Warp Sequent. I don't think I've read a single post on this forum giving a positive review. I plan on selling this one and getting something else (galaxy s2!)
ZTE, if you want me to change my opinion, release the source!
ps- I am going to kill the link to cwm above, to avoid confusion.
