Anyway not to display text message under lock bar?

When the screen is off. And you recieve a text message. Then go about to unlock your phone, the sender and part of the text message shows up under the lock bar. Is there anyway not to display the message under there?

Go to messages icon,menu-settings-uncheck received notification.

that will disable notifications all together as well. invest in handcent messaging. it wont show on teh lock screen, but u can still have em show up in ur top bar if u please. i hated the way HTC put ur notifications on blast on the lock screen.

If you use No Lock, you dont get the lock screen, therefore no message below the lock bar.
