Help Anyway of increasing the speaker volume?

Hi Kids.

Okay so I use my Desire in the car quite a bit, and as I don't have a bluetooth hands free kit, my old one got smashed in the boot when I dropped a big tool box on it. Dumb ass, I'm using the inbuilt speaker on the phone. While for the most part, this is fine, I would like to increase the volume slightly. Obviously not enough to blow the speaker.

I know there's an app/mod for the headphones volume, but what about the speakers volume? Anyway of increasing that?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

I bet the OP wants to increase the speakerphone output for voice calls. We shall see...

Thanks jaseuk, but garry is right. Though this is a good media player, its the incall voice volume I want to increase.

I just tried it for handsfree, and the in call volume was the same.

Thanks anyway.

Andy.

The speaker in the Desire is very small and weak, so it has low output and tinny sound. Using any kind of app to boost output is likely to damage the small dynamic speaker with distortion in the Desire. The iPhone 4 is better in this regard, but certainly not enough for speakerphone in the car.

For handsfree in a car you really should use a bluetooth handsfree unit. It's much louder and designed for the environment. The small speaker in the Desire wasn't really made for handsfree use, it's there mostly for the ringer and other sound effects, and for that it works fine.
