Root Anyway to boot into Recovery with SD card?

So I semi-bricked my phone and I cant unbrick because I flashes a wrong OTA ROM from another phone. The screen doesn't work and it only starts to boot if the charger is connected and you can "hear" it boot but can't see the screen. I remember years ago when I changed an old HTC touch and I bricked it but with the SD card I made it boot into recovery and was wondering if I could do this with this phone. Recovery or Download mode doesn't matter. Ps. Not rooted nor flashed W/ custom recovery (of course not rooted). Thanks in advance.
