Help Anyway to group message?

It is 2013. Why is group messaging not available on the LG Optimus F3?

Go to Contacts, hit the Groups button, set up a group, add people to it. Then to send the group a message, open the group, hit the menu button, and select "Send message". Select the people you want to send a message to (or what numbers), hit Add, type your message and send.

That just sends a text to multiple people. When they reply they result in individual messages not in a big group one like my old LG lucid, Samsungs, or the iphone. If this don't have group messaging it's pretty bootleg if you ask me. Feeling taken by LG.

This is a great phone but I'm going back to my Note 2. I don't like big phones but I figured if I'm getting a big phone might as well go all out.

For anyone searching this issue I have discovered the problem.
Textra works but not over wifi connection on Tmobile and and MetroPCS. I contacted the guy from textra and he said that the wifi code is protected by tmobile and they wont give it out. I just had the same issue today with the Hangouts update with MMS.

It appears that LG or Tmobile were lazy and didnt want to include group MMS over the WIFI connection. This does work with the Samsung S4 and Note 2 though.

oh that blows. I noticed the hangounts MMS does not send when in wifi calling .. that is quite annoying.

It looks like GO SMS will do this... I've tested between my wife and my google voice account. I also received a text from a co-worker with an iphone to me and another person - the other person has an iphone as well. It stayed grouped in GO SMS. You just have to check the option in settings > advanced to group them together. So far so good... we'll see how it goes going forward.

I have tp report back .... Hangouts do not seem to be having this problem 100% of the time.... It is a bit strange. I have not tried go SMS yet.
