Root Anyway to install MIUI ROM ???

I did what the "fix everything" thread told me to do but didn't install the optional PRL.

Then I flashed the MIUI ROM for Evo 4G LTE but it doesn't work. It stops at the animation. Then I found out HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO 4G LTE are actually different phones.


So what kind of ROMs I can try now in addition to those “EVO V 4G " one? Is it HTC EVO 3D? When I entered this, I saw "CDMA" version and "GSM" version, but why there's not "Wimax" version?

Another question, are there any MIUI ROM that this phone can flash? Thank you.
 
Our phone is the CDMA version, there's no need for a Wimax version as the only CDMA version is Sprints/ours, as has been posted just make sure that you only use the CDMA version as opposed to GSM and you'll be fine. Some of the Sprint 3d versions may require a mms fix because Virgin handles that differently. Good luck and have fun with your new found freedoms. :D

Virgin Mobile users are supposed to given a lower priority, but the radio or something of the phone changes now. So now my phone now has the same priority of other Sprint user's even if I'm actually a VM customer?

No. Your username on the network is usename@virginmobile which identifies you as a vm user and lowest priority.
 
I don't understand why anyone wants to overpay and buy a 2 year contract anymore. It's expensive, risky, a pain in the ass, and as the commercials say you're pretty much on Lockdown.
 
I Most of the world doesn't do long term contracts, the US is one of a handful of countries that still uses the subsidized phone/2 year contract model. I much prefer to buy my phone out right and save a bunch in the long run instead of just saving money by subsidizing the phone for 2 years. I spent almost $300 for the Intercept, first prepaid android in this country, the Triumph and now the Evo V. Bought each one on release date, if I was still with AT&T in that same time I'd be spending over $100 a month and probably using the BlackBerry Bold. $900 over 3 years for 3 different phones instead of over $1200 for just 1 year just to get the BlackBerry for $100, makes no sense to me but Americans like thinking that they got a deal by buying a low price subsidized phone. :rolleyes::confused:
