Root Anyway to load Bootstrap to sdcard?

Ok, I am playing around with trying to get miui installed and running correctly and in my venture of having to sbf several times I came up with a question. After I do an sbf and then boot up the phone I have to log into my Google account on my phone to install Bootstrap Recovery from the market. Is there not some way to just save bootstrap to my sdcard and skip the Google account sign in at the beginning and install bootstrap from my sdcard and install what I need from there? Be it a .zip file or whatever?

This is achieved pretty easily.

1. Download through market.
2. Open something like root explorer or do everything through ADB.
3. Navigate to data/app find bootstrap and copy it.
4. Go to SD card and paste.
5. Next time skip syncing the google accout. (pain in the arse) instead open up the stock file explorer and install from there

Thanks! Yep, exactly what I was trying to avoid doing that google account syncing thing. Takes forever. Thought if I could skip that part and just go right to bootstrap would make things much quicker. :)

There was a link somewhere here in the forum to download d2 bootstrap. That's what I used and it put it on the sd card. Fwiw...I have z4 root on my sd card as well and when I sbf I boot the phone up, skip activation using the four corner method, and install d2 and z4. Everytime I do this I can have myself rooted again in literally under two minutes. No exaggeration. Once I start z4 it will root the phone in less than 30 seconds everytime! I've done it countless times and it usually takes 21 seconds, I've timed it. Seems like since the phone isn't trying to reload all the apps from the market, z4 can do its thing very quickly. I've read here where it can take up to ten or fifteen minutes for z4 to work and it used to be that way for me but since I've started skipping activation first its incredibly fast! This may not be a secret but I thought id share. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the input. I also have had z4root on my sdcard, but never thought about putting bootstrapper on there until today, when I had to sbf 3 times. Then I got to thinking...gotta be a faster way :D

And yes, The Market reloading everything bogs the phone down. I found that out today. z4root will just sit there and basically do nothing until all that has updated. Then it will work in the blink of an eye.

I do the same thing, copies of the RSD lite, SBF files, the current ROM I'm using and lots of other stuff that makes my life easier are in a folder called ROMs. You never know when you might be out somewhere and need the files to fix yours, or someone else's DX. SD cards hold a lot of stuff, not a waste of space, IMHO...
