Root aokp or decks ics?

Is anyone running either of these roms? How stable and "fully" working are they. I really want to try an aosp ROM to compare to sense just to see what I like. I'll go witgcm7, but figured an ics ROM may be worth it...any suggestions?

Damn near everything is working on swipers ICS builds of MIUI. Only thing missing is 4G and I've posted a fix for everything else in my thread about it here.

Generally the ICS builds using HWA are buggier than non-HWA ROMS

I've used AOKP's Milestone 4.
I liked it a lot (very slick) and ran it for a week.

But I couldn't get over:
- Non-working front cam
- Random reboots when using back camera and google maps
- Missing my Sense apps/widgets like SMS.
- Not compatible with Wifi Tether, so I had to use built in Wifi Hotspot app instead.

You'll have to try it to see for yourself.

Does the miui ics have hwa yet? Thinking about giving it a flash.

thanks! I dont use any of those features you were talking about regularly anyway, so it does not bother me. I am currently on AOKP build 33 and LOVING IT! only 1 random reboot after I was purposely trying to lag the system to see how far I could push it. If you want the maps and panoramic camera, etc I hear the gummyworms ROM is pretty stable. Cant wait for milestone 5 though!!! loving me some ICS!

no HWA mizz...I didnt like the look of miui, so I had to drop it!

So is it pretty smooth then? Does it look basically the same as MIUI gingerbread? Or are there any additions that make it even better? Every time I run MIUI I can't get over how awesome the theming is and how sweet looking it can be, but I end up always going back to something more "androidy"

Yeah its smooth with the Mason kernel. You can smurf it out as well or use COD tweaks.

Just check out the thread for fixes/things to know before you flash
