Can we use aosp 2.2 gapps on velocity/frunisher? Like say they have better and more up to date features than the market?

Some, like MMS and Contacts I havent tried them all but I know some of them do not work
I have been toying with the idea of including 3rd party replacement apps instead of some of the google/lg ones so we could have t9 dialing and a calendar with better widgets
thoughts?

Google apps - gapps.
And i think thats a great idea. The only thing is... if you use the dialier, make sure that it can be attached to somethin like the google contacts. I know im used to clicking the pictures in hancent to open contacts. So the contacts app is important to me, but thats just me
