Root AOSP helper for LG connect

so i took the plunge and bought juice defender ultimate. cant say im all that impressed as it gives me just about the same battery life as i had without it.

anyway, it has an option to toggle background data but i have to install AOSP helper. it says my rom isnt supported but can force install it but it warns me that i could brick my phone if it goes wrong.

has anyone tried this with the connect and had success?

I would say make a nandroid and go for it.

I did make a nandroid backup but didn't go through with the installation. I deleted the app as it really wasn't doing anything for me.
