Root AOSP wont boot.

I decided to go back to Sense for a bit and got tired of it. I had a backup of an old AOSP ROM so I restored and now it's acting strange.

It will not boot any AOSP rom. It will boot up, the HTC splash will come up, then it will show a black screen and shut down, then boot back up and do the same thing. It loops forever. I intstalled Unlocked Potential HD ICS and Mirage kernel, then did a full, clean wipe and now it does this with every AOSP rom.

HBOOT 1.50.5050 Jbear
S-OFF
4ext recovery, latest version.

I tried Angry bean and Dastin's cm10.

Help? :)

When I do a full clean wipe I usually check in the info screen of 4ext of the partitions to see if there even and nothings left over. That usually just means instability. I've never used the jbear hboot tho I'm on the ENG 1.04 one so I have no idea how it's different.

Have you tried restoring that AOSP backup again then wiping data right after? That'd basically be a clean install. At least it would be to me. xD

Haven't seen you around in a while nice to see you again tho. :]
Been watching the Elite forum at all?

Waddup? I've been peeking around a lil' bit since I've been gone. Great job by Phenom for getting CM9 working on that damned thing. Took them long enough.

Wiping data doesn't work. Neither does flashing a whole new kernel, or wiping cache/dalvik.

I'm going to San Antonio tonight so I guess Sense will work for now since everything works.

Kind of odd.... Does it also happen when you flash a fresh install?

You may need to RUU and then get everything back to how it was. After an RUU, you can easily flash 4ext as a PG86IMG.zip and then flash your 1.50 hboot again and then try restoring your backup or a fresh install.
