Help APK installing problem

so i tried to install a APK from XDA, but everytime i try to install it from (File manager,Dropbox, and Root explorer ) i get this erro that says:
Parse Error
"There is a problem parsing the package."
how can i fix this?

There's something wrong with the .apk itself,either it's corrupted,or,it's not compatible w/the ASCEND.
I'd contact the developer & see if there's something that can be done to make it work.

hey juz check if ur sd is protected with password or somethiing. and its the reason y its showing if its not protected under developer options if phone is rooted.then it will work fine..it worked for me. check that out n reply.
