My phone was unable to receive 4g LTE. I checked the APN with a T-Mobile support rep and they said this phone is ROOTED so they were unable to continue to help me trouble shoot the problem. I bought this phone from a person and not a store. The T-Mobile Rep said to unroot the phone and call back, but he then added that by unrooting this phone it may cause the phone to be locked and incompatible with T-Mobile. He also supported his claim by adding that the person probably unlocked the phone by rooting the phone and changing preferences and so by unrooting will cause the phone to be locked once again. I am not sure if the guy I bought my S5 from is the original owner or not.
- My APV Protocol is grayed out.
- I am trying to get 4G LTE.
- I have called T-Mobile and At&t and also samsung manufacturer.
- None were able to fix this problem.
- My girlfriend and I have the same plan from T-mobile.
- Her phone is from T-Mobile and mine is from AT&T.
- She receives LTE and I do not.
- The only differences is our protocols.
- My Protocols are grayed out and im trying to find a way around to it change it.
- The sources I called were unable to help with my LTE problem, so I am trying to change my APN settings that are grayed.
