Help App association issues

Sorry didn't mean to sound pissy marc. Just i'm about to come up on my last days before I can return the phone and if i can't fix this soon it's just too frustrating.

sikclown - you made me realize maybe it was an issue with Dolphin browser - which it was. If i choose chrome or "internet" it then gives option for YT app. But it won't work with YT. THANKS!

However... this sucks because I like dolphin a lot more and i never had this issue with Dolphin and my Note 2 or HTC 3D

Hmmm ok so it is a Dolphin browser issue on The One it sounds like. Well nothing says you can't still use Dolphin for your browser, just choose Internet when clicking a YouTube link. Unfortunately this woud mean not setting any browser as your default. Or perhaps there is a selection in dolphin to open links in apps or some other setting?

I'm having a problem with my HTC One. I have the bookmark widget on one of the screens. when I go to select a bookmark it will at random ask me to "select action using" Now you have a choice to pick chrom or standard browser, I choose the latter and then press the button that says "always". This works for a short while and then I will be given the option again later when I select another bookmark to "select action using" again I press the always button, but it never makes this a default choice as it should! This can happen at random while selecting a link from an email too. It just never remembers my choice. I've carried out a reset on the phone but to no avail.
Any ideas?

Go to applications to all and find default browser and see if there is a disable option. Then chrome will remain and no choices will come up

I'm guessing one of two possibilities:

1) The default isn't a "blanket" default & is very task specific.

2) Possibly,when/if you clear cache/cookies/browsing history in your browser,that this causes some of the defaults to not be recognized.

Again,these are only guesses,not definitive answers,& if incorrect,I'm also interested in finding the reason/possible solution for retaining default actions.

I do have easy cache cleaner installed. Maybe that's causing the problem...
I've disabled chrome and it hasn't happened since. I'll enable it again and disable the cleaner and see what happened...
