App Autorun (Gemini)

gbiggie

La patience et le pardon
Does anyone know of another app other than Gemini App Manager that allows you to set the autorun permissions per individual app?

The latest version of Super Manager has that option, seems to work as I was able to turn Google Maps off from auto starting and some other app. I didn't work on the music widget though.

Autorun Manager

Do you want control over startup apps? Autorun Manager gives it!Autorun Manager (formerly Autorun Killer) is an ultimate tool that lets you disable all the autostarting apps you don't need. Unfortunately this app is misunderstood many times so please read help carefully and/or mail the developer if you have questions.
There are many applications that automatically start when you turn on your device; many of these you don't use or need, they just consume your valuable resources. This app sports a basic mode for the regular users and an advanced mode for power users with rooted devices.

This is a limited free version. The Autorun Manager Pro is $3.39.

I too was having trouble with autorun apps after trying different apps I finally found one that seems to work it is "Rom toolbox ".

Going to stick with Gemini as it is free and does do the job very well. It loves to suck up memory if not shut down after used.

For some reason, I downloaded Gemini a few weeks back, noticed it had the ability of editing apps permissions but I uninstalled it before I even tried any of those features. So how well does Gemini for example, work in editing autorun permissions? I would love to stop Google Maps from auto starting but I do not want to start having freezing or rebooting or any other problems by doing something like this. I did freeze Music and the Music widget but those would be optional as well.

It works very well for me. I have disabled the majority of the apps on my phone to run at boot(including Maps & other Google related apps) with no negative results. I was thinking of putting together what I have removed/ configed autorun in a post on here. A lot of the problems other Esteem users have not happened to me(blessed & knock on wood:D
