Help App cannot be stored in the default installation location

Hi Guys, Newbie here. Apologies if this thread is a repeat but I have trawled the forums and the answers given related to this subject are not very clear or reflect the same problem I have.

I have a problem on my S2 where the apps aren't updating or aboe to install new apps. Some apps update but some don't. Occassionaly I get an insufficient storage notification but I don't know why as I don'tt have a lot of apps on the phone. The internal storage is reading 1.8gb used with 222mb free. I have tried to uninstall some of the apps and add ons but most a pre-installed.

Can someone help me trouble shoot this problem?

Move some apps to SD card (except launchers and apps with widgets).
Clear app caches.
