App Download/Install Delay?

[music_pharoah]

I noticed this before 2.2 Froyo update, but it seems to be worse now.

Whenever I head to the market to install an app, I will click the "install button" and then click "okay" and it states that my app will be downloaded. However, the progress bar will remain at "initiating download" or something of sort and can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes to download and install.

Is anyone else receiving this lag with the market, or does anyone know a fix?

Yes. It is quite annoying.

I get the biggest lag in between the download completion and the install completion. The phone practically freezes at that time.

Ditto. Very annoying but livable when you know its going to happen

Only happens on 3G... Wifi is instant DL... Not sure what the issue is but it's NOT related to 2.2 as I had the issue on 2.1 as well...
