app for external midi keyboard?

[SteamAngel]

I have a slightly unusual request - I'm looking for an app with which I can connect a midi keyboard to my new nexus 7 for practising piano. I used to use my computer, but since moving house I can't permanently fit them both in the same room! Searching for midi on the Play store bombards you with apps that output midi files instead.

"Keyboard Sounds Pro - Midi/USB"

I use "keyboard Sounds Pro" too and it works well.

Great question. Wish i still had my midi controller keyboard

I might have to wait a little while before I can test this, as it turns out I'm missing a cable (male micro USB to female USB). Thanks very much for your help, though!

There is one other thing - while sorting this out, I've seen mention of issues with the new nexus and USB hosting, and also that a workaround would be needed to plug an external midi keyboard into it to get everything to work - does anyone know about USB hosting on the new nexus?
