Is there a way to make the App Icon, at the bottom of the home screen, clear, or transparent? And how do you get rid of the line above it? My goal is a wallpaper only home screen.

Almost forgot, its Jelly Bean 4.3.
 
Yeah mate. Download a 3rd party launcher for complete control of the homescreen.
I recommend Nova. It will let you chose your own icons. If you pay for the Prime version, you can hide statusbar and the dock at the bottom for a complete full empty screen and even toggle the statusbar and dock using gestures like swipe down to show/hide statusbar, swipe up to show/hide dock :thumbup:
