Help App or other way disable/lock touch screen

I am looking for a way to lock out the touch screen on my xoom while watching a movie on Amazon or other app so I can walk around holding it and not activate the screen. I don't want it pausing and rotating and such while I hold it and walk around.

some 3rd party video players will have an option to prevent the screen from rotating. look at dice player and/or mobo player.
