Help App pictures showing up in gallery

I installed a new app the other day. but all these dumb pictures are showing up in the gallery, any way to hide these?

It's famous bug. This can be theoretically avoided by placing empty file names ".nomedia" in the folder with pictures, but this was not working on my phone :

I rather use "QuickPic" app to view pictures, it's better than Gallery and you can select folders to hide in it's settings.

Another vote for QuickPic here. I appreciate the fact that you can include/exclude folders so that you only see what you want to see.
