Apps App portfolio for sale

Hi,

Introduce me as "Us Droid (Formerly Upper Duper)" listed on Google Play Store.
It has been wonderful 4 years long and I decide to sell this company.
I feel not to let go but I need cash more for now.

I believe there is a huge potential in this company as new platform emerging to the market.
Yes, I'm talking about Smart Watch. Everyone is now wearing Smart Watches.

Us Droid has 12 apps listed on Google Play Store and all these are clock widgets. I built them all.
So this is a good opportunity. Make some investments, build and expand this company to the next level.
Make all apps compatible to Smart Watch devices. And you got 2 fold revenue than now.

I will take USD 120,000 in return for Us Droid with all its apps including its source codes.

Note
1. You don't have to do anything. It is already there. This is just like asset which generates passive income. But if you take it to the next level, I will be grateful.
2. Us Droid generates roughly USD 7 - USD 10 per day. Around USD 2,000 per 4 months. So annually you got revenue in around USD 5K - 6K.
3. For further information / assessment please contact me at xxx@gmail.com

Hi! I blanked your address. It is unwise to post that on a large public forum like this, spam wise. If someone wants to contact you, they can send you a private message. Cheers!

I've moved his to our Application Development sub-forum, as existing devs looking to expand their own portfolio would seem to be the ideal target audience.

Then again, I don't think we've ever seen a post like this before, so I'm kind-of flying blind and using 'mod discretion' here.

Good day.

I found your stats on revenue interesting, but brief. Unfortunately I am not interested in buying over the company but am interested in the stats and details of how you have monitized your apps and what the results have been over what time period...It would be really appreciated if you could share some of these stats with us. There seems to be very little info on the net regarding the actual revenue that apps make these days.

Hi,

There are several ways monetizing your apps. Adds like AdMob and so on. Imo, adds will not work good on widgets app. In-app purchase method would do better. But I never tried those methods.

At the beginning I always prepare 2 versions. One version is free version. Another one is full version with more graphics and themes. Functionalities are the same. So I was having difficulties managing those apps. There were around 20+ apps. So I decided to keep top 3 apps to have these 2 versions, free and full version. For the sake of Android open source project. While others will only have full version with 1x24 hours refund guarantee for any reasons.

That's all.

Hi.

Thanks for the good reply. Some good info there.

Yes I can imagine that you can't do ad placement on a widget app. It was just interesting to see your approach to the Freemium method. I am going to deploy a banner style ad version and then make the revenue off the pay per click principle. But am seeing that it is good to have quite a few monitization models carefully thought out through the app so as to not inter the UX.

If I may ask, how did you manage to advertise and direct users to your apps once they were developed and live? I can see from the Play Store you have quite a good user base on your apps.

Hi,

I always honest to users. No hidden access & permissions, etc. I believe if you have good product, customers will look for you. But you can try to introduce your apps on many different forums. Anyway I never did this. Initially I just build clock widget to satisfy my need. Money is not my first priority.

Many 3rd party vendors for sales, monetizing, etc try to approach me letting their product inside my app. I believe it can drive some more revenue. But I still don't want to do it. I still value openness of Android OS where it should be free. Money comes 2nd place.

Best Regards

Thanks for the reply. Very interesting.

I like the philosophy of "you build it and they will come".
