App problems.

So I finally got my EVO after 3 weeks of searching for it. (SO FREAKIN HAPPY) I download the advance task killer and i check it from time to time. Some apps are showing as open and I haven't even touched them. I know for a fact because I kill them and dont even use my phone then check it 30 seconds later and all these random apps show as open. For example: Sprint Navigation, Voicemail etc.

I figured voicemail should but sprint nav is pretty weird to be running in the background? So far I like it the only problem ive encountered is when im messaging and after i read messages and click home it takes a while for the #1 on the icon to disappear or w.e number of new messages i have.
