App stuck on screen background

Hi all, my friends screen is stuck on kik messenger background, its not visible at homescreen but if you go into an app you will see it in the background, bearly but its there. Any way to get rid of it?

You should post what the device is to make it easier for help but if the device has a battery shut it down and remove the battery for a minute and the put it back in and re-boot.

Samsung galaxy s4 mini and I tried it din't help :/ also tried rebooting manually

Can you get a screenshot to show us what you mean? Have they tried uninstalling KIK?
My first thought was display burn-in if he spends a LOT of time on kik but it cant be that on such a new phone
