Help app update question

so since upgrading to the incredible from my Eris, since I didn't want to just re download all my apps, I bought my backup pro and just backed all my aps up then imstalled them on the new phone with backup pro...now when I go to thebmarket and hit download, none of those apps are listed.... so I then assume I'm not getting any update alerts for these apps....and if I find them in market, I can download them...it doeznt say installed...so how, without feinstalling all apps, can I get updates?
sorry for spelling mistakes, I'm doing this in the incredibke and for somebreason its laggy in the dolphin browser

I did the same thing just using estrong file manager and mine worked fine. Are they 3rd party apps or something? Maybe trying appbrain instead of the market might do it.
