Root App updates not working

Running Gingersnap. Certain Market app updates won't work: Google+, Hotmail, Maps, and Titanium Backup. Other apps seem to update just fine.

Google+ and Maps tell me 'insufficient space on the device.' I have about 88 MB internal space available.

Hotmail and Titanium backup both download about 25%, then skip to 'installing', then fail and say 'package file is invalid.'

I tried rebooting. I tried clearing all Google account sync checkboxes, exiting to home screen, then re-checking the boxes, then going to application management and clearing data from Google Services Framework, then rebooting. I moved all four apps from the SD card back to internal storage; prior to that I had roughly 120 MB free.

Any ideas?
