Thank you for responding here, the market did not show it needing a second update but uninstalling/reinstalling the app (which I had done earlier but it was before the 2nd update) brought it up to the current version and it is working fine now. I'm glad I bought the pro version, I love this app and I've gotten so used to using it that it felt weird going back to the buttons...:confused:
 
I just found this today. so far I like it a lot. the buttons were never an issue for me before, but I recently got an otterbox case which makes the button push just a little harder so this is a great solution for me
 
well, after testing out the free version for a day I had to buy the pro version. Well worth it in my opinion.
It took me a few hours to get used to using the bar at the bottom and not using the buttons but now I find myself getting agitated (not really but you get the point im trying to make) when I have to press the home button to wake the phone up lol

suggestion, you should try not to use same button to wake up phone as you might wear it out, try to use different buttons each time.
