AppBrain: Post Your Link to Share Your Apps!

w4lly's Apps on the Eris

Trying out AppBrain so if anyone else is using it, they give you a URL to your "profile" which sync's completely wirelessly with your phone. Everyone is always asking. This is possibly a chance to see what Cady and OTD REALLY have on their phones :P

If no one else is interested, just let it die, but figured i'd share what I'm packing.

Cool app, I'll have to play with that. With the links it's also a handy way to get an app that you might be interested in.
I notice though that Caddy's link is the only one that takes me to a page that just says 'server error'. It LOOKS like he's playing along, but really isn't. What're you hiding in that phone Caddy?? :)

Yes he is... its just that the appbrain site gives you a bogus link. It should be http://www.appbrain.com/user/Caddyman/

Here's mine... ryan820's Apps on Ryan's Eris

I just realize I have a ton of apps...and how many of them do I use on a weekly basis? Quite a few. I knew I liked my phone but I really do use it for everything. Amazing how quickly something like this becomes a part of your life.

In looking at Thetomlin's apps, I noticed that there is an 'uninstall' link. Being curious by nature I was VERY tempted to see what would happen if I clicked that link, but I didn't do it (such restraint). I do wonder why *I* have an uninstall link on TT's apps. I noticed that it only says 'uninstall' next to apps that I have installed on my phone.
Also kind of curious how something on the net could uninstall something on my phone in the fist place.
You folks seeing the same thing?
Things that make you say 'hmmmmmm'.

BTW W4lly, this is kind of fun, thanks for starting it.

So I checked yours out again (this time logged in to mine), and also have uninstall links next to your apps that I also have installed. It seems that as long as your logged in, it remembers what you have installed and will give you an option to uninstall.

Idk if it will uninstall on your phone but it is like the market app in that anywhere it displays an app it knows you have installed it will show it's status on your phone....pretty neat

ok if you click uninstall on the website, and then go to the app on your phone and sync, it will show what you have marked as changed in the top part of the app on your phone. you can then commit to changes. it is like a batch uninstaller, works good too.

Yeah, but off of which phone? My the 'fun' we could have... :)
I have to assume that it will actually delete the app from your phone ('your' in this instance being defined as the person doing the clicking on the link), as opposed to the other person's phone. I choose to believe that, because to do otherwise would be a truly bone-headed thing to do (no offense to the Centauri among us) and surely the developer didn't make that particular mistake.

I'd wondered if being logged in was the key. I knew that I was logged in when looking at TT's, and hadn't tried logging out and viewing again.

you know i must say that this is really a excellent app and system. more i use it the more apps i see that are great.

i see this as a very strong competitor with androlib, probably better (not even counting the app/sync capabilities) the layout and function of the website is really top notch IMO

ETA: Helix Launcher is TOTALLY pimp

Caddy, may I ask how you managed to get WeatherBug Elite on your phone. You listed it as one of the copy protected apps that could not be viewed or downloaded from the market running 2.1. I have been chasing another copy protected app that I would like. still waiting for the developer to get back to me.

all i can say is google it my friend (really, that is all i can say)

i DID pay for it originally on 1.5...

I can see this becoming very useful when someone is having a problem with their phone. The "What do you have on your phone?" question will be much easier to answer now.
