AppBrain: Post Your Link to Share Your Apps!

1. Click "Show preview of app list widget."
2. Un-check "With phone image."
3. Starting in the upper left corner of the little black window, highlight its contents and copy.
4. Back here, make sure the reply box is in rich editor mode.
5. Paste.
6. Switch to text editor mode.
7. Add [table] and [/table] around your whole post.
8. Add [tr] and [/tr] around each "row."
9. Add [td] and [/td] around each individual item (each app).
10. PREVIEW in case you made a mistake.

Sounds time consuming, but it really wasn't. I actually copied "[/td][td]" into my clipboard to make it easier; all I had to do was paste that between each item for step 9 in the list.

Great suggestion! I am one of the AppBrain developers, I will add this feature to the website.

as aleis said, you rock, really the app and site that you have your fellow devs have....developed, is an asset IMO to the community.

looks great uwe, it would be great if you could add the thumbnails to the bbcode too, people are much more apt to click (and therefor visit your site) if they see pretty pictures ;)

looking good though

If you can make them shiny pictures it will work even better. :D

Ooooohhh Ssshhhiiiiiiinyyyyy!

ok so i have everything set up, but when i went to view caddy's app i wanted to download helix i clicked install and it is not syncing with my phone...any help?

you running 2.1?

on the site you click the install, that adds it to your "queue" for lack of a better term

then on the app hit sync and it should show. i noticed it might take a few syncs in the app for it to appear though....

I sent uwe the bbcode that I used to implement shiny pictures, so maybe he'll grant your wish.

Thank you! We are working on it. However it will take a bit longer since we need to make a few more changes to get it right.

(The problem is that the current image URLs will change when the app gets a new update, so the images would break in the forum then after an update of the app, which is not good)

Im sure it just uses a shared login system, like some sites use facebook connect and you can login with your facebook, same deal.

Google logins support open id, open id is a movement to try and make a single secure login across all the sites you use for your convenience and security.

What im saying is, your info is secure.

I would like to know what happens to my Google login info after I enter it in the AppBrain app.

The Google login info is only sent to Google. AppBrain never receives your Google password.
(You can see in the address bar of the browser that the login actually happens on a google.com page, not appbrain.com)

After you logged into google successfully, it will then redirect back to AppBrain and provide your email address to identify your account (not the password).
