AppBrain Procedure

Are you going to the android market app on your evo? Or just the web browser?

You have to run the market app to install apps.

I had install the Appbrain app into my Galaxy Spica, when I try to login using Google login (https) it just hang there. Can't login , login from website using PC no issue.

Anyone can help here ?

Tks

I am still not seeing a way to get the appbrain sync to batch install all of the apps. I have to go through them 1 at a time and install them 1 by 1.

Has anyone somehow got appbrain to do a batch install on their Evo?

No batch install. Maybe when the new App Market comes out with Android 2.2 it will be possible.

BTW, a reason you want to do them one by one is to check out what each app is trying to access on your device. Some of them are grabbing onto parts that they shouldn't need to use for the type of app they are. I've backed out of installing a few because of this. I love that Android tells you this information, even on updates.

I feel dumb. I had a second list called "apps on my pcb3600" or something like that. That was the EVO :) I went to my droid list and checked and added those items to the EVO list and then it worked.

THANK YOU! Had the same problem. After installing Appbrain on the Evo, it created this new group for the Evo specifically (rather than some general "phone").

So for people who need more info:
1) from the Appbrain web site, you can click the "Apps on the phone" list, then "Select All", then "Add to List", then "Apps on the PC36100" (this assumes you have a Sprint Evo...if you have another phone it will be called something else!). Now all the apps you already selected are in the group that the mobile app will recognize for your phone! [[I do NOT recommend deleting the old group, "Apps on the phone," because I did that, and now when I hit "Install" on an app, that app doesn't go anywhere!...So if I want to install an app I have to click "Add to List", then "Apps on the PC36100"...]]
2) launch AppBrain on the phone and in "Manage My Apps' click "Sync with AppBrain" on the bottom left. Then you will see your apps!

Thanks again for pointing out the correct group name!
