Apple expels 1,000 apps after store scam

Makes me feel even more privilaged to have the 24 hour testing period, that really is a godsend and makes you wonder how people survived without it before.

And I think the fact that we have the 24 hour review period means we cant get caught out by this, because once we download, realise its crapware and uninstall it we are never charged.

Thank you Big "G" for providing us with the Refund policy :D

One thing Wrong with our current Android Market is the Lack of Moderating ...... You get people Like M star LLC and Recently 09Droid keep bumping their Paid apps in the "Just in" section. A real nuisance!

It makes you wonder...if 1 Chinese company produced 1% of all the apps in the store then how many more apps are possible copies, scams, etc? For an app approval system that is supposedly tough to navigate how did this company fly under the radar with 1% of the whole store? Could 10% of the store be scams and copies? 20%? What percentage of the app store is legit? What percentage of the 100,000 apps are even worth downloading?

Apple gave these guys a chance, but no chance for Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Flash, Google Latitude, etc.

Of course not. Those things "duplicate features of the phone" and would destroy Apple's precious credibility when they find out that, for instance, Firefox may be way better than Safari. They have to keep their image in tact or the sheeple will quit buying their stuff.

Maybe next apple will stop allowing people to download 3rd party software on their computers because they "duplicate features of the computer"
