The ipod touch was enough for me to realize what a locked down os it is and the lack of customization it had.

I have. I also currently own 2 iPod Touch and an iPad, which is running iOS 6, and yes, the new Map really sucks. This sums it up pretty well:

Also the Youtube app, crappy as it was (which, incidentally was written by Apple, not Google) is gone. You can download one, however it's written for the iPhone/iPod, and not the iPad. As of this time there is no iPad version.

At any rate, from firsthand experience, Apple is nowhere near as faultless as countless iPhans would like everyone to believe. Doesn't mean Android is perfect; far from it. But it does mean it makes it fun as hell to mock Apple and their flock in threads like this :)
 
I laugh at the people who go to an Android site and get offended that people don't like the Iphone and express opinions as such. It's really no different than Samsung fanboys going to HTC or Motorola sub forum or vice versa. Except for most Android fanboys seem to share disdain for the Istuffs.

If you tread into foreign (rival) territory, better leave your "I'm sensitive, please don't offend me" sweater at home.

I have to agree. It's like bringing fresh meat to a wolves den. What do you expect? What vexes me even more is the infighting between Android users (especially the Nexus fans, geez!). We all own devices that run the same OS, albeit a bit different variations, but the same OS nonetheless.:)

And this isn't a an SGS3 issue and we have other venues perfectly appropriate to express these views.

Many here with the SGS3 simply could not care less about the iPhone.

That's why we have the Lounge.

As few as possible...its pretty much a useless argument about which phone performs better. Its turned into Baseball, pretty much the same as the NY Yankees vs the Boston Red Sox...its become a heated rivalry with both sides standing their ground.

Is Apple complete garbage- no, I'd have to say absolutely not! The i5 is a very nice looking piece of hardware. However the OS to me is just way to bland and dated. People have been starring at those same icons for how many years now? That's like us being given Froyo year after year with minor updates, lol...Imagine that!!

As a whole, its just a ridiculous back and fourth food fight. My take is get what ya like.

The HTC One X is an excellent phone. Far better and much more interesting than the iPhone. Lots to discuss about it. I would submit that the Sprint variant is in some respects superior to the SGS3. Think of the nice, long threads we could have on that. :) After all, many SGS3 users are previous HTC owners, just as you say for the iPhone.

What is the correct number of HTC One X threads for the device forum where people come for SGS3 information?

Plus, it's Android, not iOS. Surely if the iPhone belongs here, so does the One X.

Foreign or domestic cars, which are preferred by SGS3 owners? What is the correct number of car threads for the SGS3 forum?

And what is the correct number of iPhone threads for the SGS3 forum?

Yes. Exactly.

I find that zero is included in as few as possible.

And the people not posting here but lodging complaints about having this thread here would seem to agree.

If anyone has a problem with the Lounge threads for the iPhone and disagrees with the lock, please drop me a line, my door is always open.
