Application date?

[Android Question]

How do I find out the date an application was downloaded to my phone?

Use a file manager (like Total Commander). Look at the app file for the date.

I believe older versions of Android allowed you to view or list the contents of the /data/app folder, but it now appears (in Android 4.2 anyways) to be protected from viewing except via a rooted shell or file browser.

Worth taking a look anyways .

edit: this assumes you're looking for the installation date of an app...
