Help Application Updates - Download Delay

Has anybody noticed download delays while trying to update an application?

Sometimes it takes minutes or longer for a download to start so that an application can be updated...

Is this normal?

For some reason the downloads won't start and it'll just hang there in "starting mode."

I had a similar problem this evening. I contributed it to the market having issues.

Yup. I'm not sure what's going on but that is a common complaint lately. I noticed intermittent problems as you describe after the Froyo release. I'm rooted, running Fresh 3.3.0.1 w/ Netarchy 4.1.9.1 CFS Kernel, and have the same symptoms as with the rooted stock 2.2 w/ stock kernel. It's kind of annoying but I can live with it.
