Help Apps are not installed?

New to the Captivate, and on my second phone (1st one would turn off, so I had it replaced). I downloaded a few apps on my first phone and everything showed up with an icon just like magic.

Now I am trying to download a few free games for my kids to play and they will not download. Do I need to change a setting on my phone?

Little more specific after searching some of the information on this site:

When I go to the market > menu > downloads , those apps show that they are currently downloading (green dashes). It appears that this has been the "status" for a couple of days.

Do I need to change a setting?

Try canceling the download and restarting them. It might have just gotten stalled/stuck.
