apps at startup

Is there an app that let's you decide what app is allowed to start?....at startup....like when I turn the phone on.
I'd like to have the ability to shut most of the apps off.
Thanks.

Ahhhh....I'm not rooted......

Any chance there is an app that I could control apps that start up ...on a phone that is not rooted?

Thanks

What kind of apps is that you want to prevent from starting?
The chances are that most of them start for a good reason and even if an app kills them after boot, the system will just restart them so thats you just wasted power.
Whats the apps you wana kill mate?

Well, things like:

Camera360
Any.do
Cut the Rope (my kid's game)
ScanLife

But, I just found that I can clear running apps with Du Battery Saver.
Which I just did.

Any.do will just start up again. It's supposed to run immediately at startup. How else is it supposed to act as a reminder with alarms if its not running?

Camera 360 is another one that will just startup again. This is being accessed by all apps that access the camera function.

Have no idea why the other two apps startup, but I'd say leave them alone. I seem to remember that this is a new phone? Thing is, the phone remembers what apps you open a lot and preloads them to cache immediately so they open faster. Don't bother killing anything, you'll just make your phone run bad and even lag. Its bad for the long term.

Ohh......thanks.
Also, I just learned about putting my phone on Airplane Mode.
I like that!.......it saves me allotted monthly data usage.

You wont recieve calls though. Theres "data toggle" widgets in play store that will turn just the data off

Samsung phones already has data toggles in the notification shade. Pull it down then swipe the toggle right to left, or a two finger downward swipe. You can turn off mobile data from there
