Help Apps auto closing

My S3 keeps closing apps that are running in the background and I'm not sure why. I'm pretty sure it never used to. I just downloaded the spotify app to try with a free trial and I can listen when the program is in the foreground, but if I do something else with it running in the background it will randomly close itself. The same thing happens with tune in radio, oddly Winamp seems to work fine.

I've tried clearing cache on both apps as suggested in some other threads but doesn't seem to help. Any body know if there's a solution to this?

Could be running into memory problems. the phone has 2 Gigs of ram which is a lot for a phone. Too many open programs and it starts closing ones you have not used recently.

Check the apps settings and make sure it is set to keep playing even when put into standby.

Yes I experienced this too. Ironically, sometimes it happens only after I restart my phone. (Yes all the app are loaded only after the os has stabilized.)

Check in developer options and make sure "limit background processes" is set to "standard"

Also I have noticed that a lot of the Trial audio apps if in the background will time out on their own. Had this happen at night one night (if memory serves it was TuneIn Radio before I bought the Pro). There was a popup of No User Activity in x number of minutes, but if I let it set the popup disappeared.
