When I check active programmes, I always have some programmes that remains active, even long after I used them. This seems to drain battery a bit! Did not have this in s2 and s3. Have never used task killer either because in android we don't need to! Anyone also experiencing this?

Ignore them, they won't generally use much power.

Task killers are a bad idea. This issue has been discussed extensively in XDA and the expert consensus is that using task killers make matters worse.

Yes, I know! That's why I don't use them, but this issue still bothers me!

If an app is misbehaving, you can close it from within the settings menu under the apps options. If it continues to become active and you don't want it to, you could always disable it.
