Root Apps doesn't store in SD card (rooted)

Hi,
I just rooted my phone yesterday due to "not enough space" issue.
I have also partitioned my SD card to around 1 GB and made it ext3

Today, I flashed cyanogenmod 7 to my phone and installed some apps but apparently the apps aren't automatically stored in the SDcard partition and still eating up internal memory.

The initial memory was around 140mb and now with just 2 apps (market and titanium backup) the space goes down to 88mb.

Also, do I have to tick any option in cyanogenmod settings > application > allow application moving ??

Can someone explain me in details..

Thank you very much

My phone - HTC desire now using cyanogenmod7

Application moving is something esle.

CM7 doesn't come with a2sd as standard. You can either flash an a2sd script (usually CM threads have a link to Dark Tremor scripts) or download "simple2EXT" from the market.
