Google goggles - Take a pic of places and things and google tells you what they are or where to buy.

Google skymap - Point your phone at the sky, and Google Sky Map will show the stars, planets, constellations, and more to help you identify the celestial objects in view.

Pandora - Streaming radio where you select a band at it plays the band and those similar to it.

Virgin minutes checker - Instant info on minutes used/left and payment due date.

ShopSavvy - Scan a barcode and find out where it is locally (and the price) or where to buy online.

QuickSettings - One touch app to control battery consumption. Change wifi, gps, 3g (among others) settings almost instantly.

Zedge - Hundreds of thousands of wall papers and ringtones. Searchable.

Im still very new to the smartphone world. Still learning a lot. Cant offer any info on games as they are of no interest.

For the info and user rateings go to the market either from the app on the phone or website and use the search, just remember to monitor the internal phone storage,it is only 180 mb even though a lot of Apps can be moved to the SD card if you go App crazy you could find yourself with low internal storage warnings and you will not get texts or emails to the phone.

Trapster is a handy app for finding the local police speed traps, of which we have TONS.
Pandora.. custom radio stations
A Online Radio, I load it up with radio stations and internet radio streams I like.
Launcher pro, easy to make your own themes.
Beautiful Widgets, nice clocks and weather displays.
Meebo IM, a nice free instant messaging client.
The Virgin Minutes checker is also very handy.
I also like MyBackup Pro, makes backing up easy.

Team Viewer is another favorite, but unless you are a computer tech, you probably will find it to be not very useful. It allows you to control remote computers from your phone.
