My messaging and other various apps keep force closing. Does anyone know why? or know how to stop this?

Help Apps Force Closing

My apps have been force closing like crazy lately! My text messaging especially- everytime I go to read a text or try to send one the phone freezes and I have to wait until the force close message comes up to close the messages and re-open it again. This is happening a lot along with other apps such as Pandora. My phone was fine until recently when all these apps started force closing almost everytime I open them.
