Help Apps gone - Space same?

I have rooted my phone and removed most of the stock apps.

Phone was showing as having 37mb spare, then suddenly the low on space icon popped up and my space was decreased to 12mb. The apps are still gone, but the space hasn't increased.

Any ideas?
