Help Apps not staying sorted. Help!

After updating my phone to EC05 via OTA, I noticed that my applications (on the application screens, NOT the home screens) were not sorted alphabetically. So I sorted the list by clicking on:

Menu > Edit
then
Menu > Sort
then
Menu > Save

And that alphabetizes my applications. However, I've noticed that if I reboot the phone, the apps return to their former, unsorted order. Hase anyone else experienced this? If so, is there is fix so that the order will be retained / remembered between reboots?

I've tried everything not rooted and rooted and can't figure anything out. They always are un-sorted when you turn the phone off and on. If anyone finds anything out about this, it would be much appreciated.

yea, there are major problems with the stock interface that havent been fixed - I have noticed this also and after going to a custom rom all is good
