Help Apps on SD Card

For some reason there are a bunch of apps installed on my SD Card. If I unistall them from my sd card will the app be deleted from my phone?

You can move them to the internal phone storage. Press the hard menu button >settings >applications >manage applications, then press the "sd card" tab, press on the app and select "move to phone".

Noob question here I think, but what would moving them from the sd card to the internal phone storage do for your phone?
